H2Ontario is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator to join our team.

Summary H2Ontario is seeking an self motivated individual with effective communication skills and a strong work ethic, who wants to learn and grow within our organization. We are currently looking for people with a minimum of 1 year of construction experience to assist project estimators and managers to effectively carry out day to day duties and responsibilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Assist the Project Manager and team, where applicable, in the day-to-day project administration duties.
  • Assist in coordination of submittals and close out documentation including As Built and Operation and Maintenance documents.
  • Assist the Project Manager and team in maintaining accurate and up-to-date logs (Shop drawings, RFI, RFQ, Purchase Orders, etc.), tracking responses and keeping the project team up to date on the status.
  • Assisting with quotation and procurement process and solicitation of vendors for construction projects and tenders.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors in requesting and following up on shop drawing submittals, additional work pricing and other required project documentation.
  • Preparation of changes/claims and processing time and material work for review by the Project Manager.
  • Complete additional assignments and responsibilities as requested by the Site Superintendent, Project Manager or Senior Management.
  • Accurate data input for various programs used within the company in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining, tracking, and filing of all project related documents.
  • Assist with tender estimates and estimators’ requirements including reviewing tender packages to perform assessment and material quantity take-offs.
  • Assist in the preparation and updating of project schedules.
  • Assist with resolving warranty issues and facilitating project completion.
  • Assist in preparation of prequalification packages for future tenders.
  • Attend site visits and delivery of tenders from time to time as required.

Requirements :

  • Minimum of one year of experience in construction project coordination.
  • Valid Ontario Drivers License.
  • Proficient in the English language (written and oral) with strong inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Ability to meet and adhere to deadlines and work under strict time constraints.

Skills considered to be an asset :

  • Civil construction related experience
  • Knowledge of MS Project
  • Post-Secondary Education/College Diploma - Civil or Construction Engineering Technology, or Construction Management
