With the launch of the new Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO), the Strategy and Communications team is looking for highly motivated individuals who have a passion for project management, demonstrate the core values of Niagara Health and thrive in being part of a team that is committed to service excellence. Your project management skills and experience along with your leadership capabilities will play a key role in the transformation of patient care through the delivery of our Strategic Plan Portfolio of projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Leading and supporting initiatives for clinical programs and patient experience.
  • Estimate project efforts, resource needs and activities to support project deliverables.
  • Establish milestones which will be continually monitored to ensure alignment with project schedule.
  • Leverage established Project Management processes, tools and templates to execute projects in alignment with our enterprise methodologies and best practices.
  • Establish routine communications with project team to discuss the status of deliverables, risks, issues, decisions, budget and project performance.
  • Coordinate any interdependencies between projects.
  • Vendor Management on projects where external partners are engaged.
  • Manage project teams by using exceptional interpersonal, facilitation, team building, conflict resolution and coaching skills to support both individual and team goals.
  • Accountable to provide expertise surrounding change management and end user adoption.
  • Provide project updates to senior management and project stakeholders. This can include written reports/dashboard, verbal updates as well as formal presentations.
  • Work in alignment with Strategy and Communication team leads when external engagement is needed.
  • Gathering feedback and presenting insights and lessons learned.
  • Support and encourage Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in project teams and lead by example.
  • Excellent attendance record.
  • Valid driver's license and access to vehicle for multi-site hospital travel.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Community College or University degree specializing in business, project management, IT or a health related field.
  • CAPM or PMP designation required.
  • Experience in a health care/public sector would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated 3-5 years progressive and relevant experience delivering large scale enterprise projects. Proven ability to communicate project status to various stakeholders related to project delivery including written, verbal and formal presentations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that would be directed to all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adapt to changing priorities and expectations.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary project team across the organization.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and take action.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail.
  • Proactive with an ability to anticipate needs.
  • Ability to create clarity out of ambiguous situations and requirements independently and through consultation with knowledge experts.
  • Superior interpersonal, communications skills and ability to successfully build relationships and drive towards consensus.
  • Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset.
  • Consistent and regular attendance required.
