Housekeeping Room Attendant

Job Summary : Cleans and prepares guest rooms and public areas by meeting established standards of cleanliness and propriety to assure guest satisfaction and maximize revenues.

Job Duties included, but not limited to:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Clean a section of guest rooms as per Best Western brand standards
• Maintain condition and cleanliness of guest rooms and their surroundings within the section including hallways, corridors and stairs
• Clean and stock linen closet and housekeeping cart at the end of the shift
• Report any maintenance defects in guest rooms and surrounding areas
• Provide consistent communication to Executive Housekeeper to ensure proper supply levels are kept within a reasonable working order
• Must be punctual and able to work a variety of days
• Other duties as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper including cross training in Laundry and Houseman duties

Qualifications :

• Basic knowledge of all cleaning principles, use of cleaning products, and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head, bending, and stooping to perform cleaning task.
• Ability to push and /or pull equipment and lift maximum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and associates.

Ability to work in a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
