Stairs and railings are a focal point in people’s homes. In this role, you will help make the design vision a reality, working within the overall building design, project timeline and project budget.

Your day-to-day
· Design factory- built stairs using Staircon design software.
· Estimate stair and railing systems based on customer-provided plans and drawings
· Communicate with KOTT Sales, Production and Installation teams to complete estimates in accordance with project timelines
· Track work assignments using KOTT’s Enterprise Resource Management software
What you need to succeed
Experience & Education
· Experience as a Railing Estimator or Stair Designer is preferred, but other design or estimating experience in the residential construction industry will be considered.
· Architectural Technologist Diploma is preferred, but equivalent work experience will be considered
· Experience installing stairs or railings is a strong asset.
· Other framing or carpentry experience, or experience working on a construction site, is an asset
Skills & Qualifications
· Proficiency with Staircon stair design and AutoCAD software
· Strong general computer skills required, including experience with MS Office
· Ability to read and interpret building plans and drawings is mandatory
· Familiarity with the Ontario Building Code is an asset
· Fluency in English is required; fluency in French is an asset
· Good verbal and written communications skills
· Good interpersonal skills and a team player
