Job Description

The incumbent is responsible for overseeing all aspects of ground operations and ensuring that they meet Air Transat's high standards and safety requirements. As an ambassador for the Company, the Supervisor will also promote and maintain a safety culture at all times.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure compliance with Air Transat's airport policies and procedures regarding the treatment of passengers, both in terms of check-in and boarding by assisting and supervising the handler's teams
  • Communicate the guidelines to the airport's business partners;
  • As required, attend operational meetings and follow up on service level agreements (SLAs) with our suppliers
  • Conduct station inspections in accordance with company programs, identify corrective actions and ensure their implementation;
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to operational teams, both those of Air Transat and the various service providers
  • Manage station delays, emergency events and irregular operations
  • Work closely with airport authorities, government agencies and ground handling agents;
Qualifications
  • High school leaving diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 7 to 9 years pertinent experience in passenger services with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Extensive experience with above and below the wing operations
  • Languages: French and English (written and spoken)
  • Familiar with Transport Canada airline regulations, CBSA and USCBP regulations
  • Computer systems: Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communicator, leader and adept at multitasking
  • Must be flexible to work all hours/days (irregular hours) as dictated by operational requirements
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills, professionalism, and autonomy
  • Sense of leadership, diplomacy, and team spirit
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure.
