Full time - Seasonal (April - December)

We are currently seeking an individual with strong skills in Customer Service and Dispatch for Casey Concrete Ltd.’s Amherst, Nova Scotia, location. Casey Concrete is a private family-owned company, with multiple locations - Amherst is the head office. We manufacture a wide variety of concrete products for wholesale and retail sales in addition to ready-mix concrete.

This is a new position for the Amherst office, and we are looking for a skilled individual that will fit into our team. This position reports to the Office Manager and will be working closely with our Dispatcher.

There are a variety of duties and responsibilities and lots of opportunity to learn new skills and knowledge. The customer service aspects of the job are working with regular account customers on their orders, answering calls and speaking to walk-in customers about orders.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Answering phones and directing calls
  • Providing pricing to customers (Eventually product recommendations)
  • Collecting customer information for larger job quotes
  • Using SYSPRO Accounting system
  • Payment processing
  • Producing and reviewing invoices
  • Providing information to customers on products and services

Experience that will be an asset:

  • Post-secondary education
  • 3 years of office work experience
  • Above average computer skills
  • Strong proficiency MS Office programs
  • Construction knowledge
  • Syspro experience

Dispatching experience.

Because the nature of our business is seasonal, this position is only needed from April to December each year. We would like to find someone that is very interested in this type of work to return each year to the same role. Group benefits would be offered year-round.

Job Types : Full-time, Seasonal Contract length: 9 months

Salary : $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
