Corporate Quality Assurance Manager   Department: All   Location: Montreal (Travelling between sites) Reports to: Quality and Preproduction Director.   On of our client, Balcan Innovations is a leading North American manufacturer of technical films, flexible packaging, and reflective insulation with five brands at its core: Balcan Packaging, Plastixx FFS Technologies, NELMAR Security Packaging Systems, rFoil, and Reflectix . We are looking for a Corporate Quality Assurance Manager with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar field to join our team. The quality assurance manager will be responsible for the below tasks but not limited to the following:   JOB SUMMARY The Corporate Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for the below tasks but not limited to the following: ·        Oversees and manage all Quality Assurance specialists and managers, in all sites (Montreal B1 and B2, Laval, Terrebonne, Wisconsin) ·        Oversees the level of non-conforming products and clients’ complaints and analyze trends to underling recurrent quality issues or opportunities of continuous improvement in all sites (Montreal, Laval, Terrebonne, Wisconsin and Drummondville) ·        Leads the discussion with different departments to find solutions to keep these levels at the objective target established by the senior management. ·        Hold and attend quality review meetings with different departments and with senior management to report on and discuss quality control issues ·        Prioritize team efforts in order to maximize corporate objectives and coordinate the tasks of the team in order to fulfill the department objectives. ·        Standardize working methods between all QA specialists and managers in all sites (Montreal B1 and B2, Laval, Terrebonne, Wisconsin) ·        Hold meetings with production or service managers to gather detailed information about company procedures and practices ·        Train employees to meet quality standards in all areas of the production process ·        Maintain and improve the inspection and material release processes for incoming raw materials and outgoing (finished goods including WIP). ·        Maintain and improve current SOP’s for raw material management and new supplier’s qualification. ·        Work with the quality compliance manager to promote, develop, and oversee compliance of the company quality system in the plant and highlight opportunities for improvements. (GMP, HACCP Program and GFSI when applicable) ·        Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization Profil EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS o    Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing with supervisory experience o    3-5 years’ statistics, Six Sigma or other RC analysis experience preferred o    10+ years of manufacturing experience (PE film processing preferred) o    Advanced level computer skills   SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS o    Proficient with computers o    Good organizational skills; o    Ability to manage time; o    Work independently; o    Recognize and prioritize quality issues; o    Investigate new quality and process techniques. o    Extremely detail-oriented and analytical thinker; o    Able to interface directly with cross-functional teams; o    Able to develop, review, and maintain metrics and quality audits; o    Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
