Expectation of the role : As a Child and Youth Care Worker, you will :

  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with children and youth in care
  • Provide a safe, nurturing environment, offering emotional support and guidance
  • Help youth with daily routines, including meal preparation and life skills development
  • Support youth in achieving personal goals, fostering their independence and growth

As an Awake Night Worker, you will :

  • Supervise youth during overnight hours to ensure safety and stability
  • Provide guidance and emotional support when needed throughout the night
  • Perform routine checks, light cleaning, and documentation during your shift

As a Team Lead Live-In, you will :

  • Respond as a supervisor during shifts, offering guidance and support to staff and youth
  • Ensure safety and emotional well-being of all youth in care
  • Oversee daily routines, programs, and manage any challenges that arise
  • Live in Team Lead that you live in the home for 48hrs.

As a Program Coordinator, you will :

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including program activities, staffing, and client intake
  • Provide direct care and ensure the program meets its objectives in helping children/youth
  • Supervise and support a team of Child and Youth Care Workers and Team Leads

What We’re Looking For :

  • Passion for working with youth, especially those with complex needs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work in a team
  • Understanding of trauma-informed care and Indigenous traditions
  • Flexibility in working hours (variety of shifts available)

Qualifications :

  • Post-secondary education in Social Work, Child and Youth Care, or related field (or in progress)
  • Experience working with children and youth, especially in care settings
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License and Drivers Abstract (with less than 6 demerits) will be required
  • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector, Child Intervention Check within the last 6 months of commencement date
  • First Aid/CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)
