Daily Tasks : The Technician will be responsible for assisting the Landscape Maintenance Foreman in all of your team’s projects. You will report directly to the Foreman for all concerns, questions, issues, and customer requests. You will need to have a working knowledge of the standard operating procedures of all aspects of landscape Maintenance.

The physical demands of this job require constantly moving, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, driving with a trailer and occasionally operating machinery. This job requires working outdoors in all types of weather conditions and exposure to the elements. This may include heavy to moderate noise and exposure to tools and machines used in Landscape Maintenance.

Job Requirements

  • Current and valid BC Class 5 Driver’s license
  • Drivers Abstract
  • 1 year Job experience in related field preferred
  • Steel toed boots
  • Appropriate attire for all weather conditions

Expectations

  • Between 35-45 hours per week from March-November
  • Between 15-30 hours per week from December-February
  • Competence in operating ALL Maintenance equipment, powered and non-powered.
  • Competence in completing hedging/pruning, mowing/trimming, weeding and general cleanup
  • Competence in assisting with jobs including but not limited to simple irrigation repair, aeration/top dress and garden mulching
  • Plant Identification skills and general care knowledge preferred
  • Time management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn and understand new tasks including new technologies
  • Reliability and timeliness

Job Types : Full-time, Permanent, Seasonal, Apprenticeship Contract length: 12 months

Salary : $19.00-$23.00 per hour
