Claims Service Representative (18-month Term)

LOCATION : Altona, MB REPORTS TO : Claims Manager SCHEDULE : Full-Time, 18-Month Term

DIRECT REPORTS : N/A

PURPOSE OF POSITION : This individual will be responsible for supporting the team in the day-to-day administration and execution of the claims process. This individual must be an excellent communicator and able to work effectively within a team of people to achieve common goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS :

• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders representing Red River Mutual through various communication mediums (in person
• Administration of new claims
• Data management including entry transcription, records retention, compiling, coding, categorizing, verification and calculation of claims.
• Follow protocol and standard operating procedures based on established rules of operation

• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Effective teamwork skills
• Process-driven
• Adept computer use and typing skills, including the use of Microsoft Office
• High school diploma required
• Obtained or pursuing post-secondary education in a business or related field an asset
• Previous office work experience or insurance-related experience considered an asset
