Our client, a thriving group of companies with a diverse portfolio based in the Metro Vancouver area of Canada, are looking for a Director of Human Resources to be the driving force behind elevating their employee experience. Partnering with the senior leadership team, your expertise will guide and shape all people-related strategies and contribute to the company's ambitious business objectives. Your ability to inspire, motivate, and communicate effectively will drive cultural transformation and influence positive change. Championing HR excellence across the group of companies, you will raise the level of capability of the HR team by developing coherent HR strategies that align with the organizational culture of each company and support them during a period of high growth. Key Responsibilities: Strengthen HR team with skill assessment, upskilling, and IT collaboration for implementation of new HRIS Manage diverse leadership teams with tailored support and navigate the unique expectations and levels of sophistication within each business Handle sensitive employee/labour relations, investigations, grievances, and discipline in union and non-union settings. Lead comprehensive HR functions that aligned with organizational goal, including workforce planning, rewards, onboarding, talent management, and development. Experience Required: Essential senior-level experience as a Director Skilled in HR policy implementation, communication, and employee projects Proficient in Canadian employment laws Experienced in HRIS implementation and system understanding Strong organizational abilities Adept at influencing senior leaders and providing guidance and challenge. Location: The role is based at the clients offices in Langley, BC. Some travel will be required to their Denver and Alberta operations.
