Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:As the Instructional Designer, you are responsible for the successful design and creation of learning and development assets and experiences that not only ignite our culture but also develop best in class leaders that drive scalable growth. You will focus on the build out and continual improvement of our Core Learning and Leadership Development programs available for all global employees. Our learning assets meet the needs of our diverse workforce – from our Manufacturing and Distribution Teams to our Creation Center, Headquarters, and Retail Teams. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to create engaging and best-in-class learning experiences that strengthen our shared language and commitment to how we drive results and foster high performance at every level– be it individual, team, or organizational.This role is based out of our North Vancouver office, requiring the ability to work on-site for collaborating and supporting program delivery. Business operations occur on PST timezone. Hybrid remote work is optional. We emphasize strengths-based coaching and values-based leadership practices.If you were the Instructional Designer now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:Leading the design, development, and implementation of engaging curriculum that adheres to instructional design models and adult learning principles, tailored to meet business needsCrafting versatile, multi-medium (, blended) learning offerings customized to the specific needs of our retail audiences, facilitating scalability through a mix of E-learning, instructor-led sessions, and other modalitiesLeveraging knowledge of learning intake to consult and advise on learning solutions within the organizationDeveloping and implementing evaluation criteria that measures learning and performance effectiveness following the delivery of trainingImproving learning programs continually based on evaluation feedbackStaying current on learning and development trends, providing recommendations for ongoing improvements, and championing innovationCollaborating with members of the People and Culture Talent Team and cross-functional partners to identify training needs and proposing, developing, and implementing innovative learning solutionsDelivering instructor-led training, as needed, from our Core Programs offeringsHere are some of the things you could be working on in the future:Utilizing instructional design methodology and adult learning principles to build training that supports high performance and drives business growthBuilding interactive and engaging blended learning courses to activate the Arc’teryx Leadership Code throughout our global workforce Developing and executing our Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and our Truth and Reconciliation curricula, in partnership with internal and external Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)Are you our next Instructional Designer? You have a degree or post-secondary education in education, organizational behaviour, human resources or a related fieldYou have 3+ years’ experience in corporate training and training design in the retail industryYou have 2+ years of demonstrated proficiency in working with online course authoring toolsYou have extensive hands-on instructional design methodology experienceYou have experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS)You have end-to-end course development experienceYou have excellent interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to build relationships across all levels of the organizationYou are a team playerYou have excellent written and verbal communication skillsYou are motivated by a fast-paced environmentYou have excellent project management skillsYou remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguityYou are able to balance autonomy and collaborationYou inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvementYou are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues, seeking the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions with an unwavering commitment to do what is rightYour passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it$80,000 - $100,000 a yearA reasonable estimate of thepay range is $80,000 - $100,000 CAD at the time of this posting.
