In this role, you will: - administer area maintenance contracts related to maintenance and repair of transportation related facilities, ensuring work is completed to contract documents and specifications - monitor the contractors' delivery of maintenance and repair operations - ensure contractors maintain work records - monitor financial forecasts and expenditures - provide analytical support to ensure effective delivery and value for money NOTE: The headquarters of the vacancy are at 1100 Main St, Ignace; however, pending the results of the competition, consideration will be given to the successful candidate to allow them to work out of 1100 Main St, Ignace or 479 Government Rd, Dryden. The position will require: - frequent travel to remote work locations - occasional after hours and weekend work, including working alone - working outside and walking on rough terrain (e.g. walking into a ditch as part of an inspection) How do I qualify? Mandatory - The position requires the successful candidate to have a valid class G driver's licence or equivalent.
