Why is this role important?

  • The Manager, Enterprise Technology Services is responsible for planning, managing, administering and continually improving the architecture and operations of highly secure and robust cloud infrastructure, technologies and CIHI’s analytic environments.
  • What you'll do
    1. Leads and motivates the team; provides clear direction; effectively delegates and monitors performance results; motivates and develops others to go above and beyond; supports others through change; makes decisions that balance the best interests of the team, the organization and its stakeholders; and lead by example by living CIHI’s core values.- 3. Supports CIHI’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) through the implementation, management and/or monitoring of required Information Security controls.
    1. As a member of the ISMS Steering Committee, actively contributes to the management and continual improvement of CIHI’s ISMS; supports all ISMS Management Processes.
    1. Actively works with all ITS teams and colleagues in the execution of continuous process improvement, innovation and the evolution of CIHI’S architecture, infrastructure and standards. Contributing, influencing, advising and implementing to ensure that they remain current and appropriate for CIHI’s requirements.-
    1. Maintains good internal and external stakeholder relationships through effective communication.
    1. Works closely with key stakeholders in defining high-level business requirements and increasing understanding of how Information Technology services and solutions can meet and enhance business opportunities and objectives including business planning and business case development.
  • What you'll bring to the table
  • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration or equivalent. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Minimum 3 years of people leadership and business management experience
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with all phases of the systems development life cycle
  • Broad knowledge of cloud and infrastructure
  • Knowledge and experience with analytic environments
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven planning, organizational and management skills
  • Proven ability to manage a team and build a positive work environment
  • Strong leadership and ability to articulate linkages between strategic imperatives and operational execution
  • Demonstrated effective negotiation and facilitation skills
  • Knowledge of health informatics, particularly at CIHI, a strong asset in this role.
  • Ability to fulfil travel requirements as needed.
  • Fluency in both official languages is an asset.
