Role:Title: Manager of Services/FabricationBase Salary: $95,000-97,500+Bonus: $10,000-12,500+Location: HamiltonReporting to: PresidentReports: 1 Direct – 3 Doted Lines – 10 Indirect (Directs to Increase, indirect to increase to 30)Audience: Superintendents, field personnel, trade partners and client representatives.Mandate Productivity – Scale production team from 10 to 30 (and do more with less) Finance – P&L Responsibilities, Cost Controls, Project Based Budget KPI, Sales – Quote to Cash flowStory line Sheet Metal Fabrication business is 2M$ – should be scaled to 15M$. (Year One Expectations: 5M$) Cost Controls on Project Budgets are adhoc – Big Swings in Costs when Fab done onsite vs plant. Majority of revenues at Lancaster are serviced based but plant has capacity to grow (ie: almost 10X) 80% of Rev come from Large Project Commitments – 20% Run Rate – Increase capacity to make it 50/50 Majority of quote request come to company (no market attack necessary) Current quoting process is through estimators (which are supposed to do other things) To reach a 15M$ business; team must grow to approx. 30 Doted Lines: Project Leads, Important Talent that report to President Direct report: Operations Manager (not Sales Inclined, Not P&L Inclined, Product Production Only inclined) Plant has large equipment: Presses, Rollers, Milling, CNC, Lathes This will be a customer/prospect interacting roleKey Performance Indicators you will be measured on: Productivity – (directly link to revenue/margins/capacity – set KPI’s) Finance – ability to predict cash/margin/income outputs Sales – with increase capacity – Quote to Cash processesLogistics:After hours: sometimes on high risk/reward deliveriesVertical: manufacturing (and home owners)Audience: project managers, operations leads, purchasing, site supersInternal communications: president, Project Leads, Operations Foreman,Orders: 400 per year (Large projects committed 1.5M$ of the 2M – the rest are small)Profile Character, Experience, Intelligence, Coachable (in this order) Character: Will Want Desire, Self Awareness, Accountability, Integrity Experience:Management Experience (Fire/Hire/Groom/Grow) Must haveManufacturing Productivity Increasing Stories Must HaveFinance knowledge (balance sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) Must haveCustomer Focus experience (Sales/Quote/Expectation setting) Must haveLarge Equipment Manufacturing experience Intelligent – high IQ Coachable – You’ll be learning new things
