General Description • The E4 – Engineer is a professional engineer or geoscientist who applies engineering knowledge to provide engineering, estimating, planning, and quality management services for medium complexity projects and/or operations safely, with quality, within budget, and on time. Work Assignment Overview: Act as point of contact for resource planning for all capital projects for Engineering. Working with the PMs, DMs and TLs to develop and monitor work forecasts for Engineering resources. Advantages An opportunity to work with a renowned company at a competitive pay rate. Location: Edmonds - Hybrid Responsibilities • Work with Work Package Managers, Division Managers, and Team Leads to assign appropriate work centre(s) and develop work forecasts for each project activity for active capital projects including Regulatory (Asbestos, PCB, NERC, etc), Project Delivery (PD) and Programs and Contract Management (PCM) projects. • Coordinate resource forecasts for interrelated work packages with all corresponding Team Leads. • Monitor resource demands throughout the progression of projects and highlights areas with significant deviation and / or resource constraints. Discuss areas of concern with the Work Package Manager, Division Manager and / or Team Lead to adjust forecasts and address resourcing gaps. • The goal of this role is to: o Reduce disruptions / delays to active projects caused by resource constraints by ensuring accurate work forecasts are developed and maintained throughout the progression of the project. o Identify and communicate any forecasted resource constraints to the Directors and Division Managers to act on. o Provide a centralized view of projects that might be impacted by resource constraints. Qualifications • A minimum eight (8) years of substation engineering experience including significant time working in the electrical utility industry, and a degree in a relevant engineering discipline such as electrical, civil, or structural. • Good working experience in leading multi-discipline design teams and in protection, control, and telecom systems. • Professional Engineer registered with EGBC • Solid electric utility engineering background with the ability to think from a transmission system and operations perspective as well as an ability to understand the interactions and priorities of multi-discipline projects • Good working knowledge project management principles and roles • Good working knowledge of design and transmission lines, an asset Summary Interested candidates can submit their resumes directly to Srinivas at srinivas.reddy@randstad.ca Randstad Canada is committed to fostering a workforce reflective of all peoples of Canada.
