Position Summary : The MOA will work within an inter-professional team of providers and allied health professionals to assist in developing a program of comprehensive, proactive care to improve the health and wellness of individuals in a primary care setting.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist in coordinating patient care by: rooming patients, preparing exam or treatment rooms (ensure same are cleaned according to Infection and Prevention Control methods), answering questions, monitoring waiting room, assist providers as needed within scope of practice, and within CRPCN Central Offices (participate in ASaP screening maneuvers, take V/S);
  • Answer phones and book appointments;
  • Maintain Electronic Medical Record (EMR): performs tasks including linking, uploading documents in regards to patient care, scanning, and faxing documents as appropriate;
  • Support CRPCN clinicians when needed;
  • Other episodic duties as required within scope of practice, CRPCN policy, procedure, and OHS requirements.

Educational Requirements :

  • A combination of experience and skills in a health-care related setting will be considered in lieu of formal completion of an MOA program

Experience and Skills Required :

  • 3-5 years of health care experience, preferably in a primary care setting, is desired
  • Experience working within an inter-professional care team model
  • Knowledge EMR’s

Core Competencies :

  • Strong understanding of basic medical terminology and health care procedures
  • Strong administrative and communication skills
  • Ability to manage conflict in professional manner

Working Conditions :

  • CRPCN Central Offices
  • Occasional travel to other CRPCN work sites may be required
  • Valid driver’s license & access to reliable vehicle

Reporting Structure : Direct - Director, Clinical Innovation; Indirect - Executive Director

We are working together to change the delivery of health care in our communities from reactive to preventative by providing services to patients that fit their needs through supports we have in our member clinics, such as nurses, dietitians and other health care professionals. We collaborate to provide the tools and education to empower patients to work on their everyday health needs.
