Distribution Centre Administrator - Fulfilment

Toys R Us Canada, proud to be Canadian owned and operated, has an opportunity for a full-time Distribution Centre Administrator - Fulfilment on the day shift. This position is performed in our Concord Distribution Centre.

Shift Times : Monday to Friday, 9:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.

The Distribution Centre Administrator - Fulfilment will perform various administrative duties from preparing shipments for customer orders and courier pickups to assigning pick tickets for orders. They must have a sense of urgency and excellent organizational, customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs various administrative duties as required for daily operations.
  • Prepares necessary documentation including printing and applying shipping labels for customer orders.
  • Prepares address labels and bill of lading(BOL) for outgoing shipments, using Techship
  • Loading trailers (using various material handling equipment)
  • Palletize shipments for courier pickups ensuring deadlines for orders and courier pick ups are met
  • Assigns pick tickets for orders
  • Perform dispatch functions as needed and completes all courier paperwork.
  • Communicating with carriers via telephone or email
  • Provides excellent customer service and responds to inquiries within set timeframes
  • Communicating with various parts of the organization, especially the Sales team
  • Escalates urgent requests as needed to the DC Manager
  • Ensure internal and external customers’ requirements are met in an efficient, knowledgeable and professional manner
  • Maintain your work area in a safe and organized manner, ensuring housekeeping standards are adhered to.
  • Comply with Toys”R”Us Health and Safety policies, procedures and standards and with the OHSA.
  • Must be able to meet all productivity standards established by the company.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 1 – 2 years of administrative experience in a distribution centre / warehouse / fulfilment environment preferred with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently
  • Must have Safety shoes
  • Valid Order Picker license an asset
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Proficient in using RF technology
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent organization, planning, and communication skill
  • Acts with a sense of urgency and self-direction within established guidelines
  • Ability to support multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment
  • Must be able to cross train between all areas of the DC
  • Must have high initiative, integrity and dependability to function effectively as a team player.
