In this role, you live and breathe retail and are an advocate for creating a learning culture in our stores. You support in the creation of our training strategy and content for key initiatives, courses, and programs but your number one priority is training delivery. You deliver large-scale company-wide initiative training, key aspects of our retail training program, product education and cyclical training, and you are constantly in our stores developing our people and coaching others to become world-class trainers.This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. You will be supporting with training our people to unleash their potential and build a high-performance culture.If you were the Regional Training Manager now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:Consulting and collaborating with HQ partners on large-scale training initiativesDeveloping training strategies that maximize engagement, retention, and adoptionIncorporating change management methodologies into training strategiesSupporting and/or lead the training content creation and delivery processCollaborating with stakeholders to ensure training is integrated into the relevant retail training programsDelivering key aspects of the Store Manager Training ProgramDelivering training and train-the-trainers for initiative, program, product education, and cyclical training as neededMaintaining an in-depth understanding of Arc’teryx store operations, leadership best practices, and product knowledgeWorking with Store Managers and Regional Managers to ensure training and development is thriving in stores and provide feedback and coaching to retail teamsRegularly travelling to all stores within your area for on-going training and coachingMaintaining a working knowledge of role overview documents for all retail rolesAuditing training and development practices in stores and champion high quality and consistent delivery of our programsCollaborating with the Regional Managers in your area to support with regional training assessment, determining needs, and new store opening execution Evaluating and reporting on proficiency and opportunities in your regionSupporting in the planning and execution of new store training strategies Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of Arc’teryx productBe an ambassador for our brand, setting an example of retail excellence for our staffProviding ongoing feedback and insight to maximize retail training impact, platforms and resourcesSupporting special projects as neededHere are some of the things you could be working on in the future:Developing training strategies that maximize engagement, retention, and adoption for your RegionIncorporating change management methodologies into training strategies for your RegionSupporting and/or lead the training content creation and delivery process for your Region Evaluating and reporting on training strengths and opportunities in your areaAre you our next Regional Training Manager? You have a bachelors degree in Education, adult learning, facilitation/training, coaching, instructional design, or related field, or an equivalent combination of experience You have 2+ years of retail leadership experience (Assistant Store Manager or higher, Store Manager level preferred)You have 5+ years training delivery experience and are a skilled facilitator You have experience in Training content creation and/or instructional design experience an asset You are located in Vancouver as store visits in that region will be a critical aspect of the roleYou are able to frequently travelYou have a proven track record of creating and/or delivering impactful and engaging training that meets and/or exceeds KPI’sYou have knowledge of adult learning principles You are an excellent communicator, both written and verbalYou are a consummate researcher and learner who keeps up to speed with industry trends You are an innate people developer, proficient teacher, and skilled coachYou have excellent brand and product knowledgeYou are proficient at managing multiple competing deliverables You are committed to excellence and personal developmentYou are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutionsYou remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguityYou are able to balance autonomy and collaborationYou seek the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is rightYour passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it$80,000 - $110,000 a yearA reasonable estimate of the pay range is $80,000- $110,000 CAD at the time of this posting.
