In service of Deloitte’s journey to becoming a true data-driven organization, we are expanding data and analytics capabilities, delivering value, improving performance, and reducing risk for our clients, our firm, and our people. We are also supporting our engagement teams as they help clients navigate the new risks resulting from increased data and artificial intelligence technologies. For this role, we are seeking a Senior Manager, who will help develop and promote data governance capabilities in support of this ambition. We are seeking an experienced professional with experience in implementing Data Governance operating model(s), with a strong focus on responsible AI, data & AI risk management, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will also have a proven track record leading project teams implementing data governance-data management platforms and data literacy/upskilling programs, coaching and mentoring professionals, and maintaining a continuous focus on personal and professional growth. The successful candidate will have responsibility to: Develop and execute comprehensive Data Governance strategies that align with the firm's goals, ambition, and vision. Embed data quality, metadata management and other risk management frameworks into the data lifecycle to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements. Coach and mentor Domain and Data Stewards on Data Governance Operating Model vision, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Provide guidance and support to help Data Governance team members in the delivery of data stewardship services and achieve their career goals. Help prepare for and facilitate Data Office Steering Committee, Data Council and Data Governance Working Group meetings. In collaboration with the technical project team, ensure the implementation and adoption of data catalogue and data governance platform/capability. Identify opportunities for enhancing existing data management capabilities and assist in preparation of business case to secure investment. Work with other Deloitte functions to further the use of newly introduced/enhanced data management capabilities. On a day-to-day basis, support the technology and client engagement teams in adopting data governance best practices. Contribute to the development of thought leadership in the field of Data Governance, responsible AI, data & AI risk management, and regulatory compliance. Stay abreast of industry trends, technology innovations, data and AI regulatory requirements. Have a clear understanding of the firm's commitment to creating a more inclusive culture. We have team members across Canada and Chile.Enough about us, let’s talk about you• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science and/or relevant education and work experience in Data Analytics, Data Science, or Machine Learning.• Minimum 5 years of direct professional experience in data governance and data management roles.• Minimum 5 years of experience of managing, strengthening, and broadening key relationships, people and management skills, which includes exceptional communication, presentation, business writing and professional skills, including being able to liaise with both technical and business contacts.• Strong attention to detail, structured problem-solving skills and logical thinking, as well as ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions.• Ability to stay updated with industry trends, data and AI regulatory requirements, and quickly adapt to new technologies.• Team player with the ability to work in a hybrid model (on-site and remote).Due to the nature of the role having interactions with National & Global clients, English is required for this position.Total Rewards The salary range for this position is $104,000 - $215,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
