Come join us at eXp Realty – a 7x Glassdoor Best Places to Work organization!What you will do: The People Specialist serves as a generalist and is responsible for employee activities related to policies and procedures, onboarding, benefits administration, payroll support, employee training and general administration for Canada.Benefits and PayrollLead benefit and payroll new hire orientations to review and educate benefit options and payroll processes to employees.Audit employee payroll data to ensure proper new hire setup. Train Managers how to review and approve timesheets within ADP Workforce Now. Provide payroll support as necessary to our Sr. Payroll and Benefits Specialist. This may include reporting, GL support, monitoring temporary employee work permits, etc. Responsible for benefit enrollment and administration and setup of new hires through our benefit portal. Support eXp’s wellness program through promoting and advocating the program to employees. Responsible for eligibility reporting and being a point of contact to support our employees with the program. People OperationsSends employee contracts, performs background checks, compiles Welcome Kits, collects new employee information for onboarding and APD.Leads employee onboarding activities, answers employee general questions and provides general support to new hires as they are introduced into the organization.Own and manage Canada HR inbox to respond to employee payroll, benefits and any other general enquiries and concerns. Drafts letters and documents as required for employee movements (letters for promotions, updating employment contracts, employment verification letters, etc.).Consult with the USA eXp People Team on a regular basis to make certain that Canada is aligned as closely as possible with the People Policies and Procedures used in eXp Realty USA.Updates company policies and procedures as required. The starting base pay for this position is $60,000 CAD per year in our lowest geographic cost of living market and is dependent upon many factors such as location, experience, skills, and training.
