Job DescriptionRaise is hiring an Operational Technologies (OT) Engineer for Our Client, one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada. This position is a one (1)-year contract located in Burnaby, BC with the possibility of a contract extension for the right candidate. We are actively seeking talented professionals like you to drive these crucial initiatives forward.DescriptionThe Operational Technology (OT) services Engineering role has special emphasis on the design and support of the industrial networks at the Generating stations and integration of Industrial Control Systems. Successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team of 10 Engineers and IT Advisors that interacts with internal and external stakeholder resources in delivering a number of projects or initiatives related to Generation Infrastructure and Cyber Security.Role Accountabilities:Contribute to the development of safe engineering solutions by performing activities such as calculations and creating bills of material in accordance with established codes, standards, drawings, and other specifications.Making suggestions to modify conception or production techniques or materials for projects and/or operations.Assist with specific aspects of more complex engineering activities by preparing simple plans and designs, doing calculation checks for others, and carrying out routine technical surveys working under close supervision of a senior professional engineer Support Generation Capital projects from design to implementation phase.Update Network infrastructure Engineering Drawings using AutoCAD.Configure and integrate intelligent electronic devices.Participate in the development of job aids and/or engineering standards.Participate in FAT testing of the communication/network cabinets.Support field personnel during upgrades to the plant industrial networks.Host meetings, take minutes, and track action items to completion. Qualifications:Entry level to one (1) year of in a relevant engineering field or equivalent.University graduate in applied science or engineeringRegistered Engineer-in-Training or Geoscientist-in-Training with Engineers & Geoscientists BC or another jurisdiction and/or eligible for registration as such with Engineers & Geoscientists BCFamiliarity with CAD systems and drawing standards.Ability to use standard industry design/analysis software.Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Intermediate English skills for professional environment, written and spoken.Attention to detail, and the ability to learn and apply new skills as required.Good problem-solving, organizational, communication, interpersonal skills.
