JOB SUMMARY : The Quality Technician conducts scheduled quality inspections to identify and report on product quality issues and ensures compliance with documented procedures.

JOB TASKS :

  • Schedules and conducts effective quality inspections of documented processes to ensure compliance
  • Analyzes process deviations and recommends appropriate remedial action where required
  • Utilizes applicable testing equipment to conduct inspections as required
  • Communicates process deviations to department managers
  • Conducts quality checks ensuring product compliance to specified quality and operational standards as time permits
  • Reviews Certificates Of Analysis (COAs) to ensure they meet Emmerson Packaging’s requirements, attaches certificates in SAP
  • Performs calibrations of Xrite and Durometers
  • Verifies winds from the Laminator daily
  • Ensures SKUs are correct in SAP for inspections, applies SKUs to inspection plans, modifies status in SAP for the release of the SKU
  • Reviews and approves all trials prior to shipment
  • Gathers samples and prepares letters of request for outside testing, files and maintains test results
  • Completes outstanding inspection lots in SAP
  • Distributes, reviews and obtains sign-offs for MS documentation self-read updates

REQUIRMENTS :

  • Secondary school (High School) diploma, or equivalent
  • Three (3) years’ experience in a similar role

PREFFERED :

  • Experience working in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a flexographic printing environment
  • Lead Auditor certification
  • Statistical Process Control experience
  • Auditing experience in a manufacturing environment
