ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYWorking as an integral part of the Yúustway Health and Wellness Department, this position reports directly to the Manager, Primary Care. This position will assist with assessments, physical examinations, treatment plans, phlebotomy, referrals, health information, education, and advice. The Incumbent can refer to traditional healers, massage therapists, reiki, and other alternative services. Their practice aims to build the capacity of individual, family, and community wellness. Registered Nurse will work with patients to develop and implement relevant, culturally centered interventions, providing services in clinical and occasionally home and community settings. In this Registered Nurse will perform patient Opioid Antagonist Therapy (OAT) assessments, and care plans and write prescriptions, in collaboration with Family Physicians and Nurse Practitioners.What You BringCombination of education and experience.Understanding of, and competency in, Indigenous Cultural Safety and humility, or willingness to learn.Professional, adaptable and collaborative communication style with strong interpersonal skills.Must have proven to have worked effectively with a variety of people and circumstances.High level of emotional intelligence, patience and integrity.Maintains composure in high-pressure situations.Able to disseminate complex information to clients and colleagues in a meaningful way.Resourceful and organized with excellent time management abilities.Able to deliver negative information tactfully and diplomatically when needed.
