Air Technician

Total Safety is currently recruiting for experienced Air Technicians to work in multiple locations throughout Alberta.

Roles & Responsibilities :

  • Operate breathing air trailer as per Total Safety’s Safe Work Procedures and supply breathing air to workers in hazardous environments;
  • Rig in / rig out breathing air trailer as per Total Safety’s Safe Work Procedures;
  • Provide support to ensure that all on-site personnel work in a safe manner and comply with company and regulatory/legislative requirements for Occupational Health & Safety;
  • Follow and be an advocate for all rules, policies and procedures as per the client’s health and safety program, Total Safety’s HSE program, and all other applicable legislation;
  • Intervene in unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and take appropriate action to influence safe behaviors and to create a safe working environment;
  • Champion Total Safety’s safety culture and safe work practices.

Required Skills & Abilities :

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Strong observational and listening skills
  • Verbal and written proficiency in English

Required Qualifications/Experience :

  • H2S Alive, Confined Space Entry/Monitor, CSO, Standard First Aid & CPR and Fall Protection
  • Direct field safety or related experience within the Oil & Gas industry is a strong asset

Additional Requirements :

  • Must hold a valid Driver’s License and clean Driver’s Abstract
  • Ability to pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol testing
  • Willing to work outdoors, work an irregular schedule (including night shifts and weekends), and travel to various client sites throughout Alberta
  • Must be capable of working with limited supervision and able to exercise initiative and sound judgement
