Air Technician
Total Safety is currently recruiting for experienced Air Technicians to work in multiple locations throughout Alberta.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Operate breathing air trailer as per Total Safety’s Safe Work Procedures and supply breathing air to workers in hazardous environments;
- Rig in / rig out breathing air trailer as per Total Safety’s Safe Work Procedures;
- Provide support to ensure that all on-site personnel work in a safe manner and comply with company and regulatory/legislative requirements for Occupational Health & Safety;
- Follow and be an advocate for all rules, policies and procedures as per the client’s health and safety program, Total Safety’s HSE program, and all other applicable legislation;
- Intervene in unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and take appropriate action to influence safe behaviors and to create a safe working environment;
- Champion Total Safety’s safety culture and safe work practices.
Required Skills & Abilities :
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills
- Strong observational and listening skills
- Verbal and written proficiency in English
Required Qualifications/Experience :
- H2S Alive, Confined Space Entry/Monitor, CSO, Standard First Aid & CPR and Fall Protection
- Direct field safety or related experience within the Oil & Gas industry is a strong asset
Additional Requirements :
- Must hold a valid Driver’s License and clean Driver’s Abstract
- Ability to pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol testing
- Willing to work outdoors, work an irregular schedule (including night shifts and weekends), and travel to various client sites throughout Alberta
- Must be capable of working with limited supervision and able to exercise initiative and sound judgement
