The primary responsibility will involve moving loads of scrap metal from the site in Elora to our site in Kitchener. You may also be required to assist other locations from time to time.The core hours for this role are Monday to Friday with a variable daily start time of between 10am-2pm depending on customer production schedule. You may be requested to work overtime on some weekends (occasional weekend rotation amongst other drivers, one Saturday OR Sunday every few weeks, 2-6 hours) Responsibilities: Operating an AZ-class vehicle to transport metal materials to and from designated locationsPerforming multiple tasks in various styles of trucks (tractors pulling end dump trailers, super roll off trailer, etc)Shunting trailers in and out of docksSafely loading and unloading metal materials onto the truck using appropriate equipment and secure the loadUsing a crane to assist with balancing loads in trailers or bins before moving load as necessary (training provided)Performing manual tarping if necessaryPerforming routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truckCompleting accurate and thorough records of deliveries and any other required documentationQualificationsValid AZ driver's license with a clean CVOR and Drivers AbstractExperience driving 18 speed manual transmissionMinimum of 2 years of experience as an AZ DriverMust be physically fit to hand tarp 40 and 53yd binsPhysical stamina and the ability to perform loading and unloading activities as requiredFamiliarity with metal recycling processes and materials is an asset
