Position Overview : We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our culinary team as a Cook/Kitchen Hand. In this role, you will work under the guidance of the Culinary Supervisor to assist with food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic culinary environment and contribute to the success of our distillery.

Responsibilities :

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients as directed
• Support kitchen staff in cooking and plating food items according to established recipes and standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and smooth kitchen operations during service hours
• Adhere to proper food handling and storage procedures to prevent cross-contamination and foodborne illnesses
• Assist with special events, catering, and other culinary initiatives as needed

Qualifications :

• Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is required
• Positive attitude and a collaborative approach
• Strong passion for food and culinary arts, with a desire to learn and grow in the field.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Types : Part-time, Casual, Seasonal Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $17.50 per hour
