Prefab Manager

Starting Salary of $70,000.00+ per year (Dependant on Qualifications)

Job Summary

The Prefab Manager oversees all aspects of the prefabrication process, from planning and design to production and delivery to internal and external customers. This role ensures that prefab components are manufactured to high-quality standards, within budget, and on schedule. The Prefab Manager is responsible for managing a team of workers, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality regulations. This department is responsible for cutting and forming tubing and sheet stainless steel using, press brakes, shears, rolls, CNC plasma’s, waterjets, and bandsaws.

Hours

  • Monday - Thursday 7am - 5:30pm

Key Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Plan and oversee prefab production.
  • Develop project timelines, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with design, engineering, to create and maintain high standards.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and manage a team of prefab shop workers
  • Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations to team members.
  • Foster a collaborative, positive and efficient working environment.

Quality Control:

  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and quality of prefab components with the help of Novid’s quality department.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Address and rectify any defects or non-conformities.

Material and Resource Management:

  • Work with Novid’s supply chain department to improve quality, costs and efficiencies.
  • Optimize resource allocation to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed in the prefab shop.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by conducting regular safety meetings and training sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, material usage, and quality inspections.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on project status, production metrics, and financial performance.
  • Document and address any issues or changes to project scope.

Customer and Stakeholder Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with customers, departments, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Address any concerns or changes in project specifications in a timely manner.
  • Provide updates on project progress and resolve any issues that arise.

Requirements :

  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively
  • Knowledge of CNC equipment and metal fabrication
  • Proficient using project management software and other relevant tools
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control standards
