Responsibilities: Reporting to and under the direction of the Design Leader, this position is responsible for:Designing plastic injection molds according to customer requirements and specifications.Accurately recording design information related to mold design and build activities.Maintaining up-to-date job history files.Nature and Scope: The Designer role is hourly-rated, with a standard workweek of at least 44 hours. Minimum education requirements include grade 12 or equivalent.Key Qualifications:Successful completion of the Mould or Die Design program from an accredited college or recognized institution,Ability to view and interpret three-dimensional dataMinimum of 3 years of design experience or prior experience as a mold makerAbility to present a professional company image when meeting with customersProficiency in design software programs (, Siemens NX, Catia, VISI)Job Duties:Design plastic injection molds based on customer requirements and specifications.Attend design review meetings and provide input on potential design concerns.Maintain detailed records of design information related to job design and build activities.Organize and manage reports, prints, and drawings, ensuring up-to-date job history files.Submit design information at various stages (preliminary, intermediate, and final) for customer review and approval.Prepare bills of materials for the Purchasing Department. Rate/Salary: $65,000-$75,000/year
