We are excited to share this opportunity to join our team as a Janitor. This permanent, full-time role, reporting to the Sanitation Manager, will be based out of Delta BC with adhoc time spent onsite supporting our Richmond BC location.

What you will be doing : Under general supervision, the janitor’s primary role is to keep the plant and office buildings in clean and orderly condition. General responsibilities include both light and moderate cleaning activities such as cleaning floors, vacuuming and shampooing rugs, washing walls, glass, and windows and removing rubbish and recycling. All plant staff are required to operate within a flexible work hour environment.

What you will bring with you :

  • High school diploma/GED
  • 1+ year of related experience
  • Demonstrated ability to follow directions and communicate in English, both orally and in writing
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks while standing for extended periods (8-10 hrs)
  • Able to lift up to 25 kgs. on a regular basis
  • Able to work accurately with numbers and basic calculations
  • Able to work in a variety of environments including wet, humid, particulate (dusty), cold, hot, and indoor/outdoor
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Able to work well in a team environment; strong can-do/ service attitude
  • Able to solve basic to moderate problems, organize and accomplish tasks within set timeframes
  • Possess a continuous improvement and learning orientation; adaptable and open to change

What should you expect : Our production facility runs on a three-shift schedule and all employees are expected to operate within a flexible scheduling/rotation environment. We are currently looking for someone who is available to work from 2:00/3:00 p.m. until 10:30/11:30 p.m. with the understanding that depending on the operational need this may change.
