Production Inspector

Job Purpose : Responsible for performing the final vehicle and/or parts review and inspection for conformance to drawings, specifications and/or other criterium using a master check sheet, work instructions, and other aids.

Essential Duties :

• Perform final vehicle inspections off the line and/or after service
• Gather vehicle accessories and install, as required by the sales order
• Record discrepancies and Eye on Quality into QA database
• Communicate non-conformances and work alongside Manufacturing Engineering and Production Supervisors for improvements and corrective action
• Perform quality checks on incoming parts, ensure revision levels are correct, upload part pictures for identification
• Review damages from 3PL and RGA parts from customers and assess if product is useable
• Maintain and promote a clean work area. Focus on housekeeping and organization
• Comply with the OHSA and ODG Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
• All other duties as assigned

Preferred Skills :

• Interpret drawings, schematics, and work instructions
• Ability to use mechanical measuring instruments (calipers, gauges, micrometer, vernier)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Verification of materials for workmanship and material properties
• Forklift or Walkie training
• Experience with QMS, ISO 9001 / TS 16949 systems
• Discretion and integrity are required in safeguarding confidential matters such as pricing, costing, customer business practices, product books, and corporate direction and policies

Educational and Work Experience Requirements :

• Minimum of a High School Diploma (OSSD)
• Mechanical and electrical experience is preferred
• Minimum of three years experience in a manufacturing environment. Hands on mechanical and

Electrical experience is considered an asset

Working conditions : There is low risk of exposure to fumes, noxious odors, dusts, lighting extremes or any other adverse working conditions. This position requires mínimal travel between assembly plants.
