Job DescriptionUnder the direction of the Director of Utility Services, this position leads a large AMI Gas Meter Deployment in Metro Vancouver. The Project Manager will be responsible for creating and managing productions schedules, monitoring project costs, and creating and maintaining project documents. Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements. The Project Manager will also be responsible for overseeing product inventory.General Responsibilities:Directs and supervises staff, participating in recruitment, selection, orientation, training and evaluation of employees; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures.Initiating, Planning, Monitoring, Controlling and Executing the ProjectOversees the inventory management system and procurement process, preparing reports, managing materials forecasts and acting to maintain minimum inventory levels to enable quick order fulfilment consistent with the needs of field supportResponds to customer inquiries, problem solving in a professional and effective fashion and acting as a resource in resolving customer issues brought to the department.Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members.Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in meter installation, order entry, purchasing, materials management, requirements forecasting and distributing materials, equipment, and supplies.Oversees and manage the work order management system (WOMS) to ensure work order generation is properly uploaded to appropriate software program and details of work completed are downloaded on a daily basis.Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.Assist preparing RFP responses.Assist creating project budgets.Assists in the preparation of cost estimates for budget recommendations, submitting justifications for budget requests and assisting in controlling expenditures.Provide feedback to the Company regarding service failures or customer concerns.
