PRIORTIES
- Management of day to day operations and provide direct service and support to individuals or clients
- Ensure that person centered plans are developed and implemented for individuals receiving services
- Participate in budget development in relevant areas through the establishment of priorities as they relate to residential service needs
- Review quarterly financial results related to staffing, food and supplies, petty cash expenditures, training, maintenance, and replacements
- Assist the Human Resources department with recruitment and selection
- Provide support, leadership, coaching and mentoring to employees
- Resolve conflict resolutions, implement respect for others and encourage opportunities for participation, contribution and growth
- Adhere to workplace Occupational Health and Safety requirements, as well as related legislative requirements, to maintain a safe environment for individuals receiving supports
- Monitor and ensure the completion of required documentation according to policy, procedure, and relevant legislation
- Other duties as assigned
TALENTS & EXPERTISE
- Post-Secondary education in Social Services or a related field
- Current Standard First Aid, CPR and CPI certificate
- A valid Ontario full (G) Driver's Licence
- Supervisory experience in a Not-for-profit, unionized environment is a strong asset
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong strategic planning, team building and facilitation skills
- Change management experience is considered an asset.
- Flexible hours as needed, rotating on-call schedule
