Student Quality Technician (Ordering)-2407019682WDescriptionKenvue is currently recruiting for:Student Quality Technician (Ordering) This position reports into Quality Laboratory Supervisorand is based at: Guelph, ON Canada.Currently, the Kenvue Guelph site is looking to recruit a Laboratory Technician II (Co-op) for an 8-12 month (12 month preferred) position on our team. As a member of the Quality Laboratory Team, the successful candidate will be able to take on increasing responsibility throughout the course of their work term(s) in support of all analytical and microbiology laboratory operations. In addition, the individual will be required to complete assigned projects in support of continuous improvement initiatives.Start Date: 03SEP2024Throughout all terms, students will be expected to: Maintain detailed, accurate and up-to-date records of work performed using good documentation practices (GDPs).Maintaining the laboratory and workspace in an audit-ready state. This assignment offers the opportunity to work in a challenging, fast-paced team environment. All students will be assigned to a training coordinator and will participate in site wide training, as well as a modular functional training program.Key ResponsibilitiesIn the role of the Laboratory Ordering Technician II (Co-op) your responsibilities will include: Support laboratory testing programs by organizing and preparing reagents and solutions.Perform general housekeeping duties in the Quality Laboratories (analytical and microbiology) in an audit-ready state.Responsible for the maintenance of laboratory glassware.Oversee the purchasing of laboratory consumables and supplies.Maintaining a safe work environment by utilizing aseptic techniques and good laboratory practices (GLPs).Order and maintain the chemical inventory for the Quality Laboratories, which includes communication with external vendors, procuring quotes, creating purchase orders and reconciliation of invoices.Maintaining detailed, accurate and up-to-date records of work performed using good documentation practices (GDPs).Identifying continuous improvement opportunities and executing implementation of innovative ways for current systems/processes.QualificationsEducation:Enrollment in a B.Sc Science program or closely related subject area.Experience and Skills:Required: Experience in laboratory techniques would be an asset.Must have excellent oral communication and written documentation skills.Should be comfortable working with various computer programs.Familiar with Good Manufacturing and Good documentation practices.Ability to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment.Strong organizational and time-management skills are required.
