Junior Project Manager Romspen is a leading Canadian non-bank mortgage lender specializing in commercial and industrial real estate mortgages. Our investments are comprised mostly of commercial and industrial first mortgages on properties primarily across Canada and the United States. We provide customized mortgage solutions for term, bridge and construction financing. The current overall real estate mortgage portfolio is $3 billion. Over the past 25 years we have invested over $8 billion in over 1000 real estate mortgages and have consistently earned strong absolute cash yields to investors. The Junior Project Manager will be responsible for assisting in the planning, execution, and monitoring of technology and business projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and project management, with a strong desire to learn and grow within the company. This role will work closely with project leads and technology stakeholders to ensure that all project requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track. Responsibilities Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of small-scale technology and business projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and analyze project requirements. Assist in the development and maintenance of project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-implementation reviews. Monitor project progress and communicate updates to stakeholders, including senior management. Coordinate project meetings, including scheduling, agenda creation, and meeting minutes. Identify and mitigate risks that may impact project timelines or objectives. Support the development and maintenance of project budgets, including tracking expenses and forecasting costs. Assist in the evaluation and selection of technology solutions and vendors. Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for senior management. Act as a liaison between project teams and stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication. Support the implementation of best practices and standards for project management within the organization. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Post secondary qualification in in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. Minimum of at least two years in project management, preferably in a technology environment. Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies – Waterfall, Agile & Scrum. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
