Safety and Compliance Specialist - F396

Robert Half is searching for an experienced Safety and Compliance Specialist to join our client on a permanent, full time basis. Our client, located in Smithville, Ontario is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and regulatory compliance, and we are seeking individuals who share our passion for excellence to join us in this mission. - Recruiting : Support the driver hiring process to ensure candidate pipeline is strong and current open positions are filled - Conduct driver orientation and schedule follow-ups on violations, tickets, accidents, injuries, claims, and other incidents. - Oversee fleet and driver files to ensure compliance with regulations. - Manage the qualification renewal process for drivers. - Support automobile insurance renewals by providing necessary information. - Responsible for monitoring driver Hours of Service (HOS) from ELD logs and driver files to ensure accuracy and compliance. - Conduct audits and monitoring activities to ensure policy and procedure compliance. - Support the incident investigation process for work-related incidents. - Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management and customers. - Perform data entry for fleet maintenance records. - Coordinate and maintain various permits and documents related to trucking operations. - Update records and provide reports as required. - Act as the primary point of contact for all accidents / incidents, managing communication with insurance companies from start to finish. - Set up and Maintain Master Records of Trucks, Trailers, and Drivers through our TMS software. - Conduct driver Safety Meetings, conduct safety walks.
