About Us : The Alberta Regional Victim Serving Societies (RVSS) deliver a wide range of services under the Victims of Crime and Public Safety Act and Regulation, in partnership with the Government of Alberta (GoA), the Alberta RCMP, specialized and community-based victim-serving organizations, municipalities, and other local agencies. We assist victims of crime throughout the criminal justice process by providing core services such as information, support, and referrals. Additionally, we support communities with resources and assistance for those experiencing loss and tragic circumstances. Our service delivery is responsive to the needs, concerns, and priorities of our clients.

Roles and Responsibilities : The Case Management System Lead, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the fiscal agent, will collaborate across all four Regional Victim Serving Societies. This role focuses on enhancing the capabilities and efficiency of processes, supporting data-driven business decisions, and improving victim support across our regions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Acquiring and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of RVSS and its business environment.
  • Leading the design, development, and maintenance of reporting systems and dashboards that align with data collection, analysis, and reporting requirements.
  • Acting as the Case Management System expert by providing advice and support to RVSS team members.
  • Developing and documenting consistent approaches for the efficient use of the Case Management system and other software.
  • Analyzing RVSS data using statistical and analytical methods to support evidence-based decision-making and quality improvement.
  • Developing and overseeing a quality assurance process for consistent use and standardization, including regular audits.
  • Creating and maintaining training materials such as manuals, virtual modules, and in-services.
  • Developing and delivering training for RVSS staff and providing supplemental support.
  • Reviewing Case Management system data to ensure compliance and optimization, including training on advanced features and promoting process standardization and efficiency.
  • Creating custom reports to assist with operations, performance management, and capacity and demand.
  • Recommending strategies, policies, and procedures based on organizational needs assessments.

Qualifications : Education/Experience :

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with case management systems or electronic medical records (or similar).
  • Experience in project management and implementation.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables.
  • Experience using SQL to extract, collate, and manipulate data from various sources and databases.
  • Note:_ Equivalencies of a combination of education and directly related experience may be considered to meet the minimum requirements.

Assets :

  • Proven experience in leading a team through change, including coaching and supporting team members.
  • Familiarity with legislation, government operations, and systems related to victim services in Canada.
  • Knowledge of performance measures, data collection, and program evaluation.
  • Experience in developing operational plans and policies.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to set and meet priorities.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to be clear, respectful, and sensitive.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive and collaborative working relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a respectful, inclusive, and service-oriented manner.

Other Requirements :

  • Enhanced criminal record check for vulnerable sector (current and clear, completed within 90 days of hire date).
  • RCMP security clearance (reliability check) may be required.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license (or provincial equivalent).
