DCS has a broad portfolio of products being broadly deployed by the industry’s cutting-edge server/storage OEMs and hyperscale datacenters. Customers deploy DCS solutions into applications ranging from Big Data capacity storage to artificial intelligence and machine learning that are helping to shape the next digital age. Our product portfolio includes SAS/PCIe/NVMe/CXL products that connect, manage, and secure the world’s information, including Flash Controllers, High Performance Switches, RAID Controllers and Memory Controllers. Join a team where you can expand your skill set and drive key elements of the industry’s technology leadership.An opening exists for an experienced Product Development Engineer with an interest in developing next generation of storage and memory controller SoC products. This will involve taking a design from initial concept through to production. Throughout you will work beside experienced engineers and be exposed to Microchip’s Best-In-Class engineering practices. If this sounds like the kind of environment you'd like to participate in, we'd like to hear from you!Job responsibilities may include any of the following:Design and verification of digital logic subsystems (100K to 10M+ gates) which are coded in System Verilog.Understanding requirements, protocols specifications, microarchitecture specificationsDevelopment of Test plans and reviewsVerification of the design using state-of-the-art verification methodologies like System Verilog UVM coverage driven methodology, assertion-based methodology etc.Interact with the cross functional teams (firmware, emulation, validation)Design, synthesis, and timing analysisPower, performance analysis and optimizationsVerification coverage reviews and closureSupport pre-silicon emulation bring-up and debugSupport Post-silicon validation bring-up and debug, including development of workarounds.Requirements/Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar10+ years related experience; will consider 7+ years for Senior-IIExperience with Verilog/System Verilog and/or VHDLHands-on experience with FPGA, ASIC or SoC design and/or verification flowsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent knowledge of digital systems and computer architectureExcellent communication (written and verbal), and documentation skillsAttention to detail and ability to drive tasks to completion independently in timely mannerKnowledge of Unix /Linux commands and version control system (i.e. SVN, GIT)Preferred:Knowledge with protocols such as PCIe, CXL, DDR, SAS, SATA, AXI, APBExperience with lab test equipment such as protocol analyzersKnowledge of Agile development processTravel Time:0% - 25%Pay Range:We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry. It consists of competitive base pay, restricted stock units, and quarterly bonus payments.
