Food Manufacturing Equipment Sanitation : Part Time - Sundays - 7am - 5 pm : $27.03/hour 0 to 1040 hours : $29.03/hour after 1040 hours : Your seat at the best snacks table : The Part Time Sanitation position is responsible for production and non-production areas of the plant, as outlined in the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), working to prevent product contamination and adulteration, following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety.
Thoroughly clean and sanitize equipment and work areas within a specified time frame. Complete sanitation work orders and paperwork as directed. Work at various heights and levels to reach all work areas. Position includes scrubbing and working in tight area for extended periods of time. Working in close proximity to food grade chemicals, high pressure hoses, among other sanitation instruments. Individual must be proficient in the operation of machinery, including disassembly and reassembly of certain equipment. Follow all safety procedures while working (example - PPE requirements for chemical use, Lock out tag out)
Strong communication skills required - must be able to accurately express information concerning production quality and safety. Individual must be self-motivated, detail-orientated, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have good time management & organizational skills. Capable of frequent reaching, bending, stretching, kneeling, and crouching. Physically capable of heavy lifting (50 lbs). Must be comfortable working with a range of tools and equipment. Must be comfortable working at various heights (scissor lift, JLG lift, ladders).
What you bring to the party : Education and Work Experience
- Prior experience in industrial cleaning with the use of industrial power-washing equipment and chemical cleaning a plus, and/or janitorial services cleaning.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment which includes exposure to: High temperatures, fumes or airborne particles; Moving mechanical parts and vibration; Loud noise levels; Allergens; Elevated heights and Hot surfaces.
