Calling all QC Specialists with food and/or beverage manufacturing experience! We are seeking a talented Quality Control Manager with strong operational and continuous improvement knowledge for an exciting opportunity in Burnaby. What are the responsibilities for the Quality Control Manager position: Ensure the plant manufactures products that meet consumer expectations regarding food quality, safety and security.Determine effective QA and Sanitation programs, support the Production and Warehouse teams in implementationUpdate the Plant’s quality control standards and procedures manuals as necessary to optimize product quality.Maintain and update HACCP procedures, Quality Programs, and SOPs to ensure they are in line with Quality audit standards.Spearhead traceability exercises and in all quality audits from CFIA, GFSI and other organizations.SQF Practitioner and associated responsibilitiesPromote a positive work environment and drive continuous improvement in areas of Quality, HSE, and ProductivityImplement continuous improvement projects.Employee/crew training on Quality issues including GMP, HACCP and SQF.Ensure Lab supplies inventory levels and plant chemical supplies inventory levels are maintained effectivelyInvestigate and report supplier non-conformances.Maintain/enforce Health & Safety programs, review H&S results regularlyEnsure manufacturing, shipping and receiving operations comply with quality programs.Ensure all recipes and instructions are followed and each operator is familiar with SOPs for their positionInvestigate complaints lodged by consumers and customers. What are the requirements for the Quality Control Manager position: 5+ years of experience in a similar position within the food and/or beverage manufacturing industry.
