Tenaz Energy Corp. is a public energy company focused on the acquisition and sustainable development of international oil and gas assets. This is a full-time Senior Field Operator position located at the Leduc-Woodbend field near Calmar, Alberta. This will be a contract position working an 8/6 shift, 10 hours per day with on-call responsibilities. The field consists of approximately 40 oil, gas, and water injection wells along with oil treating, gas compression and water injection facilities. Start Date - September 15, 2024 (approx.) ResponsibilitiesReporting to Lead Operator and Calgary Engineering, act as the company representative at a field level.Strictly observe and champion a safety culture that prioritizes people and the environment.Manage day-to-day operation of all wells, facilities and pipelines, including: 1) Oil Facility operations including heated treaters and knockouts, two phase separators, gas processing and compression, test satellites, pipelines, water injection systems, etc. 2) Operation of well artificial lift systems including pump jacks, pc pumps, submersible pumps etc.Perform general equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and good housekeeping practices.Issue work permits and supervise work activities, promote HSE systems and safe work practices, maintain regulatory compliance, and understand emergency response procedures.Use production monitoring and reporting systems (such as SCADA and Production Manager) and other computer programs to accurately track and report field data and activities.Provide recommendations for operational and performance improvements and optimization.Be available for on-call duties 24/7 during your shift.Other tasks and assignments as required.Work with minimal supervision. RequirementsMinimum Ten (10) years experience operating oil and gas wells and production facilities, including various methods of artificial lift, gas compression, and water injection. Preference will be given to those with technical training along with field experience.Must be self‐motivated and a strong team player, possess excellent communication, time management and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.Must be comfortable working in computer or phone-app based software such as Microsoft Office, Production Manager, SCADA systems, etc.Must be capable of performing physical work in all conditions.Valid Certifications including First Aid/CPR, H2SAlive, WHMIS and TDG with preference for Ground Disturbance, Confined Space, and Fall Protection training.Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and own vehicle required to perform job duties.Registration on ComplyWorks, in good standing.Must reside within 45 minutes of the field and be available for 24-hour callout while on shift.Posting Close Date: Open until a suitable candidate has been found.We welcome all applicants to apply via LinkedIn or submit their resume to careers@tenazenergy.com.We would like to sincerely thank all applicants, but only those considered for an interview will be contacted.
