We're looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic team player to join our Armstrong, BC dealership as a Service Writer/ Advisor . This is a Full-Time position ideally suited for someone that wants to come in and learn from the ground up (lots of opportunity for advancement for the right individual). Heavy duty or agriculture experience a plus!

The Service Writer/ Advisor works directly for the Service department and is responsible for ensuring the shop schedule, invoicing, parts ordering and warranty claims are accurate and done in a timely fashion. Mechanically inclined individual preferred.

R esponsibilities*

  • Performs daily tasks such as service scheduling and warranty claim processes.
  • Manages and process service warranty claims including calculation of charges for shop work.
  • Submit the warranty claim work orders to the warranty administrator.
  • Resubmit rejected or returned claims with the correct information as needed.
  • Reconcile warranty claim credits to dealer business system.
  • Understands warranty regulations and is able to provide consultation to service managers, techs, and parts employees on the proper way to proceed with a warranty situation.
  • Ensures compliance with non-returnable service parts policies.
  • Communicates to departmental management about warranty status daily.
  • Maintains a clean work area at all times.
  • Continual communication with staff and customers is key.
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.

To be successful in this role, you must have :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid Driver’s License and a clean Driver’s Abstract.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Attention to detail with excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, crouching, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Job Types : Full-time, Permanent

Salary : $25.00-$35.00 per hour
