General Labourer

Responsible for performing a variety physical labour tasks in order to assist with the completion of Masonry, Tile, Design-Build Landscape, Decks & Fencing projects, using a variety of tools and equipment. The general labourer will perform the following duties:

• Operate various hand tools, power tools, and equipment used to complete carpentry and masonry duties, including: chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills, etc.
• Mix, pour and spread concrete
• Perform land clearing activities
• Load and unload materials, tools and equipment required to complete landscape construction projects
• Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies and hand lifting/carrying
• Assist Foreman with job-related tasks
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
• Show avidness to learn/be trained in a variety of trade skills
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Effective communications skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire shift
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with excellent stamina
• Ability to work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise and cold
• Flexible working hours including occasional weekend work
• Applicant MUST have valid G drivers License

Salary : From $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

• Overtime pay
