Inventory and Purchasing Coordinator - Dorval

Our client in the food industry in Dorval is currently looking for a purchasing and inventory coordinator. This person will be responsible for ensuring that the right product is in inventory or ordered, purchased at the right price, and sold at the correct price to make money. This person will also have various administrative tasks such as updating stock in different warehouses. Advantages Monday - Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM or 8:30AM-5PM Salary $50,000-$60,000 (based on experience) Bonus based on performance Medical benefits after 6 months Free parking on site Work for a leader in the industry Responsibilities Entry for the first time with supplier price to us, calculated landed cost and selling price. Enter it into correct department and in same format as previous similar codes. All information recorded into the part, HS code, country of origin, in the case of trays, tray sizes and its packaging size, comments, box dims and weights. Price updates: When price updates, usually increases come in, RSA needs to be updated with the new supplier price and our new prices. Calculation of new prices will be done by accounting. Purchasing: Ensuring we have enough (the right amount of) product coming in all the time. Plan and issue task to do Transfers between warehouses based on sales and requirements. Act as a point of contact between the company and suppliers Prepare and Confirm Purchase Orders, terms, and deadlines with suppliers. Expedite Purchase Orders Manage an efficient flow of goods (Inventory) to ensure a smooth flow and on time delivery to our customers directly or through our various warehouses. Updating RSA with inventory transfers Monitor and update relevant product departments regarding price fluctuations of goods and suppliers pricing. Attend meetings with the sales team, manufacturing team, and suppliers when and where required. Implement change and develop new processes to better facilitate goods and services. Identify cost reduction opportunities to achieve financial goals. Identify areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results. Review current processes for procurement and make recommendations where appropriate. Provide periodic reporting for management on purchasing, controls, and processes. Will be responsible for moving stock to different warehouses, dealing with all the history of what is purchased. Update product inventory and organize what needs to be moved. Qualifications Extremely organized, good communication skills Experience with inventory and purchasing Advanced computer skills with demonstrated knowledge of MS Excellent data entry skills to input data into spreadsheets Office Suite and understand an accounting program such as RSA an asset. English spoken and written with a functional French Excellent verbal and written communication skills Extreme attention to detail Speedy updating of price, product, and condition changes Prepare the opening of a new supplier account.
