Objective: To promote the sales of Lafarge products to existing and prospective customers for value added sales in the Central Ontario territory and surrounding of Peterborough, Lindsay and Cobourg. Responsibilities: Safety: Understands the Lafarge Safety Culture. Follows and ensures full compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures. Collaborate with Project Manager to reinforce safe working conditions on construction site. Customer Management and Relationships: Manage a portfolio of to customer base, including, and not limited to, forward order book, contact information list, project opportunity, bid follow up, etc. Develop ambition and action plan for each customer. Visit customers and negotiate prices with the guidelines established by management. Investigate each customer’s needs by doing customer discovery activities such as cold call, on site visit, relationship development events, etc. Gather market data, including economic, customer and competitive activity. Prepare summaries of financial information and quotes regarding customers and projects in order to facilitate decision making by supervisor. Make suggestions on how best to close the transaction. Responsible for customer satisfaction. Collaborate with Operations, Quality and Logistics departments to ensure on time quality product. Resolve some technical problems and assist customers with challenges on construction sites. Strengthen customer relations through value-added marketing and branded products. Achieve sales objectives for area. Credit: Collaborate and obtain information required by the credit department. Ensure the timely payment of customer accounts. Corporate Image and Market Intelligence: Promote Lafarge Corporation image and products Gather market information pertaining to economic, customer, and competitive activities Relationships with other jobs: Reports to the Commercial Sales Manager Collaborates with other RMX sales representatives and Value added products representative. Interfaces with other representatives from other product lines Works closely with production, logistics and quality team. Specific Accountabilities: Obtaining best product price for the company Negotiation skills Closing deal with client Promote value added sales Understanding benefit of our product and its value for our customers. Dimensions: Customers: to $15,, of sales revenue No direct reports Qualification Profile: Education and Work Experience The incumbent should have post secondary education, preferably in marketing, business administration, economics, communications or civil engineering technician. Strong background in sales 5 to 10 years of experience with a proven track record of strong performance. Knowledge and Skills An in-depth knowledge of the construction industry is essential Experienced using sales CRM automation tools – Salesforce preferred. Concrete product knowledge a valuable asset. Excellent communication skills Basic understanding of sales and psychological techniques is needed. Valid driving license and clean record.
