The Mechanic will inspect and adjust the mechanical alignment of pumps, replace or rebuild pumps, replace fan bearings, replace motors, repair screw conveyors, rebuild or change gearboxes, install and modify pipelines, and assist in the modification and addition of plant projects. The ability to weld is a key requirement for this position.All candidates for this position must be team-oriented with the drive, leadership and motivation to positively contribute to our long-term success.To qualify you should have at least three years of Canadian power plant or equivalent industrial experience. Candidate must hold a minimum of an Industrial Mechanic/Millwright certification as well as a valid BC driver’s license and high school diploma or GED.Preference will be given to a candidate who:Holds a welding and/or pipefitting trade certificate.
