The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and training team members, and ensuring that quality and occupational health and safety standards are applied.Job status: Full time / PermanentSchedule is on 2 weeks: Week 1 : Monday, Tuesday - 6am to 4pm AND Friday, Saturday - 6am to 6pmWeek 2 : Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday - 6am to 6pmBenefits:Product discounts and freebiesGroup insurance upon hiring (medical, dental, etc.)Employment savings programs - RRSPs and DPSPs (employer contributions)Work/family balanceCareer advancement opportunitiesFree Première Moisson cake of your choice on your birthdayCompetitive salary based on experience for the position3 weeks paid vacationSick days and family or personal obligationsResponsibilities:○ Planning and ProductionEstablish work schedules and maximize resources available to carry out tasks.Apply and enforce sanitation procedures related to his/her department (e.g. inventory, supplier approval, safety, washing and sanitizing, titration, etc.).Make recommendations for equipment improvements or changes (e.g. cleaning schedules) based on data and trend analysis.Improve results (safety, quality costs, waste reduction, efficiency) by adopting continuous improvement methodsPlay a major role in supporting the Quality Assurance department in implementing standards by adhering to established procedures at all times○ HR management and labor relationsSupervise, train and mentor employees on various shifts;Build a competent team by collaborating with employees, communicating performance expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing coaching, training and discipline, and enforcing company procedures.Consider employee satisfaction and take the lead in resolving problems that threaten productivity or moraleCultivate good working relationships with employees to reduce dissatisfaction and morale problems in the departmentAchieve, through mediation, resolution of labor relations issues and eliminate unproductive behavior through progressive disciplinary measures and in consultation with Human Resources○ Health & SafetyAssist and ensure employee compliance with health and safety requirements and inspire a readiness to do so, i.e.: increase awareness of OHS issues by participating in committees, immediately reporting and investigating OHS issues.Actively participating in interdepartmental committees to find solutions to real problemsInvestigate accidents and correct hazardous situations to prevent personal injury and/or equipment breakdown.Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees○ Other related dutiesKeep supervisor informed of any problematic or conflictual situationsActively participate in meetings and other organizational activities (including ad hoc projects)Support production in compliance with sanitation procedures and various certificationsSupport production in the application of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)Carry out any other tasks as requested by immediate superiorRequirements:Post-secondary diploma, i.e. trade certificate, university or college diploma is an asset;Knowledge of WHMISMinimum 3 years' experience in agri-food industrial sanitationAbout Première Moisson:Founded in 1992, Première Moisson manufactures and sells bakery, pastry and delicatessen products made using an artisanal approach and healthy ingredients.
