Robert Half is currently seeking a skilled HR Generalist to join our esteemed non-profit client based in New Westminster, BC, on a 2-month contract basis. As an HR Generalist, you will play a key role in supporting various human resources functions to ensure the smooth operation of the organization's HR department.Key Responsibilities:Assist with recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.Coordinate onboarding and orientation processes for new hires, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and on time.Administer employee benefits programs and answer inquiries regarding benefits eligibility, coverage, and claims.Assist with employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.Maintain accurate HR records and employee files, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and company policies.Provide HR-related support and guidance to employees and managers on a range of HR topics.Assist with HR projects and initiatives as assigned by the HR Manager.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or a related field.Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a human resources generalist role.Experience working in the non-profit sector is preferred.Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HRIS systems.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.HR certification (e.g., CHRP, SHRM-CP) is an asset.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
