Wine Consultant

Konzelmann Estate Winery, Niagara’s only lakefront winery, is one of Canada’s oldest and most respected producers of fine wines. Our proprietor, Herbert Konzelmann, is a fourth-generation winemaker with over 50 years of experience. This idea influences everything we do - from the treatment of our soil and vines, to the final winemaking process itself.

Specific job duties include:

• Conducting wine tastings and tours of our estate.
• Providing an enjoyable and educational experience for our guests.
• Recommending wines according to customer preference and your burgeoning expertise.
• Using excellent product knowledge, engage in sales using our POS while promoting membership in our growing wine club.
• Assist in hosting events outside of store hours.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Must possess a passion for people, wine and the wine industry.
• Must have Smart Serve Certification and be at least 18 years of age.
• Food Handler Certification an asset.
• Must have retail or serving experience.
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
• Must be able to lift 20kg.
• Wine experience is an asset, but not required.
• Open availability is an asset

Job Type : Seasonal Contract length: 6 months

Salary : From $16.00 per hour
