The Sales Analyst will serve as a bridge between the sales and underwriting departments. The successful incumbent will initiate credit analysis of client requests and gather necessary information for a comprehensive underwriting process. It will also include reviewing financial statements, third-party assessments, location analyses, and more.Day to dayCollaborate with sales, underwriting, operations, and risk management teams to analyze, structure, write, and recommend credit applications within established timelines and service agreements.Conduct necessary data analysis and location assessments by attending client meetings, ensuring comprehensive evaluation of credit applications.Ensure adherence to CWB Maxium's lending practices, policies, and procedures, maintaining risk-taking within acceptable parameters.Provide clients with accurate timelines and requirements for evaluating credit requests, managing the adjudication process to meet established timelines or communicating potential changes to clients.Represent CWB Maxium as an ambassador for the condo and strata portfolio by attending tradeshows and building relationships with industry stakeholders.Collaborate with the sales team, credit team, or clients to assess the creditworthiness of credit applications by thoroughly analyzing privately and publicly available information related to the client and their project.Take ownership over monitoring customer financial performance, including review of covenant calculations and past due financial information.Identify and evaluate new financing opportunities in collaboration with the sales team, Chief Operating Officer, and/or Senior Vice President.Skills and competencies that will take you furtherFinancial savvy. You will be responsible for making decisions guided by business judgment, and market knowledge. Additionally, you will be expected to prepare and regularly review annual goals and career development plans with your manager. Your ability to promote cooperation and commitment within the CWB Group towards the attainment of common goals and enabling productive group interactions, will be crucial to your success in this role. Finally, you will act as a model for CWB Maxium's Core Values, embodying them in your daily interactions. Foundational knowledge and experience to grow fromBachelors’ Degree in business, finance, accounting or other related discipline in addition to five years of financial services experience within functions of commercial lending or financial analysis. Experience in credit adjudication supported by well-developed skills in financial statement analysis and knowledge of effective risk mitigation strategies for credit underwriting, particularly related to the Canadian condominium and strata industry.Previous experience working as a property manager or for a property management company is also considered asset.Why work with us?
